The e-Skills Manifesto – A Call to Arms
De ‘European e-Skills Association’ (EeSA) stelt de onderstaande acties voor met betrekking tot de bevordering van ICT-vaardigheden. Vaardigheden die volgens het rapport net zo belangrijk zijn als de taal en cijfervaardigheid van Europese werknemers.
Verbeter de samenwerking tussen wetenschap en bedrijfsleven. ”The missing link is where academic and training bodies work in isolation to develop ICT curricula and promote e-competences that are out of synch with the business application.”

“Governments, industry and academia alike should work closely to ensure that Europe has the advanced ICT skills needed in emerging areas such as Cloud computing, Green IT, Cyber-security, Interoperability and eHealth.”
In 2013 zullen we zien hoe het is gesteld met de ICT-vaardigheden van de Europese werknemers en eigenlijk met de vaardigheden van iedere Europese burger. Dan komen namelijk de resultaten beschikbaar van het Europese PIAAC-onderzoek.
